FAQ
FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) is where you should look
first before e-mailing/asking me a question. I may have already
answered your question here. What Program(s) do you use?
"I have a general step by step process
for each of my movies. I begin by filming... (advice: Don't try to
start with just effects, it doesn't work.) Next I load all of my movies
into Cyberlink Power Director. There I edit the raw footage then export
it to a few files of each different scene. Say that file had
greenscreen in it. I would import it into FxHome Composite Lab Pro.
There I would change the greenscreen into any background of my
choice...including a moving background. And say on top of that I was
shooting a gun. I would export it, and then import it into another
program named FxHome Effects Lab Light, in which I would create gun
flashes, lightsabers, ect. I then would export that footage, and import
all the movie footage into Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0. From there I
place the fotage onto DVD's, make files, and upload it to the internet.
And those are the main programs and steps I use."
What Hardware/Camera do you use?

What is your advice for making a good movie?
"I think, and have always thought that you need a script. Many people would say, and I quote 'Let's not have a script.' 'It takes too long' 'We can make it up on the go.'
Whenever there isn't a script it comes out amateurish. I'm not going to explain why this is, because it's pretty self explanatory. It always takes longer with a script, and it always seems harder, but I will tell you one thing, it's worth it. Another piece of advice for you is not to think that a movie is only as good as it's effects. Don't, and I mean don't spend all your money buying an expensive program that you think will do all these cool effects, because I'll tell you this, like all things, effects aren't gonna do themselves, and some effects may be too complicated. What you really need to worry about is the idea. Maybe try smaller, less expensive, and easier programs first. After writing the script you should take two weeks off from the idea. Don't immediately delve into shooting. I did this and I came up with a lot of additions and subtractions to the script. In the end that really helped the movie. After that you start shooting. Remember, get the shooting done first before you edit. Take it or leave it, there is my advice."
